We are delighted to announce that Try Twickenham BID will be lighting up Twickenham on Sunday 25th November 2018. It will be a fun-filled afternoon of music and singing from local school and Church choirs, Powerjam a local not-for-profit Rock & Pop band workshops, Santa’s Grotto, Giant Snow Globe, games, Land Train, food & drink stalls, entertainment and family friendly activities. This year’s event will be held both on The Green, Kings Street (outside Barclays Bank), down Water Lane, and parts of the Riverside. Full details and timings to follow.
Event Market Stalls for BID Businesses
Permitted stall holders will receive a 3x3 gazebo with strip lights, a 2m trestle table and 2 chairs. Set up is from 1pm sharp where the roads will be closed, with CSP marshals controlling access on these closed off area for vehicles with permitted access granted by the BID events team. If you require special access please contact the BID team.
There will be temporary public toilets available at the end of Water Lane, in Diamond Jubilee Gardens and on The Green. There will be a St John’s Ambulance trained medic on both sites to offer any care to anyone in need, throughout the event.
The events at each end of the town center will run simultaneously, also running along side The Diamond Jubilee Gardens Riverside Trust's free Gruffalo event, with Wharf Lane and Church Street closed to traffic.
Securing a Stall
In order to secure your stall we need a completed street trading licence, passport style image of the main stall holder, Insurances for Public Liability (£5M), Level 2 Food food registration level 2 certificate if you wish to sell food, and a £50 deposit which is fully refundable in line with a commitment of you turning up on time and staying for the duration of the market (2pm - 6pm).
Payment methods are any of the following:
- Bank transfer to sort code 20-72-33 account number 13430707 with your business name as reference, please supply us with your bank details to enable us to transfer the money back to you after the event.
- Cash or cheque. Cheques should be made to Twickenham BID Limited, will be cashed and you will be paid back by cheque after the event. Cheques can be posted to us but cash needs to be delivered to our office (2nd Floor,30 Heath Road above the Nationwide) during office hours and handed to a member of staff who will issue you with a payment receipt.
Once we have this you will receive a full events briefing pack with all relevant information required for you to sell, take part, have fun and be safe at this year’s event. If you need any assisting in completing the form please do let us know and we can help the process along in order to meet the deadline.
We are always in need of local people to help to provide much needed event support as we aim to deliver a bigger and better event this year. If you would like to be a volunteer on the day, assisting with event set-up, low level security and visitor support please contact the BID team.
Christmas Event Marketing and Promotions for BID Businesses
We will be promoting this event to help encourage local visitors and our wider community to come and have their pre-Christmas celebrations at our FREE event, paid for by all the Try Twickenham BID Businesses. If you are a BID Business and you would like to promote special Christmas themed offers we have a number of channels we will be using to help boost attendance and marketing of this event.
If you would like your promotional offers to be featured on our annual Richmond & Twickenham Times online and magazine advertisements, please send the BID team an email with the full details of your offer and an image, and we will confirm you have been added.
