Twickenham BID’s flower hanging baskets BID project to enhance the look and feel of Twickenham, was saluted as it won a silver award at the London in Bloom awards ceremony held September of this year. Try Twickenham BID businesses funded fully maintained hanging baskets, which were displayed up and down Twickenham through the spring and summer of 2018. Other winners in Twickenham included Lower Twickenham Village and the Chairman’s award went to Church Street and the Flood Lane car park.
London in Bloom is sponsored and supported by Daniel Hearsum, Patron, and covers London Boroughs, Town centres, Towns, Business Improvement Districts and Villages along with London Parks and Neighbourhood Communities. Started more than 40 years ago, London in Bloom is an annual competition designed to promote gardening and horticulture across London. Judging took place on July 13th and we are very pleased that Try Twickenham BID were announced as a winner this year. We would like to thank our project partners Windowflowers Ltd for installing and maintain the flowers and hanging baskets which helped us to obtain this proud award.
